Title: Front turn signals on a 67..
Post by: snap on pete on November 19, 2015, 12:03:59 PM
So the newly purchased 67 is being loaded as we speak and will soon be on the sea to me..

In the meantime i was wondering re the turn signal lights..
The front of my 67 is fitted with the 4 lights...   Just wondered  where they are installed ?

Would anyone be able to do a short video of theirs to show me??

Thanks  Pete..

The two inner lights are a combination turn signal and parking light.  The bulb inside the assembly is a dual element unit that performs each function.

How do you deal with the left hand drive? Does it have to be converted as in AU?

Hi Steve
Yes not a problem, you just get used to it..  Only problem is overtaking i guess.  But the secret there is to hang back a bit
so you have a clearer view of the road..

No, no conversions needed.

Once the car arrives, We have a roadworthy test called an MoT...which is quite strict i guess.   I tend to use a local garage which is
`Classic` friendly..
Post 1965 should have amber indicators to the rear and front, and at a certain `flash rate`..  The main beams need adjusting the other way
but thats about it...  Most of the garages havent seen USA Classics so its a grey area ?

Have had 2 over now.  57 Chevy Stepside and my last one have just sold a 67 Mustang Fastback.

The Camaro should arrive UK mid Dec..  Then once MoT is carried out i can apply for Registration.
I guess by then there will be salted roads over here...So wont be going far until Spring.. but will be an early start with
the shows..
all the best  Pete
