Title: 67 Power Top
Post by: Inspector71 on December 06, 2014, 12:41:07 AM
Good day to all. I just purchased a 67 base convertible and had a couple of questions. First off, how do I top off the fluid in the power top and what is the correct fluid? it works great but sounds as if someone is slurping on an empty beer can (through a straw) as it gets to full up and full down.  Are the parking lights white or yellow as I have one of each color right now. Also, was there a center emblem on the grill of base Camaro's. I thank you in advance of all replies.

I own a 69 convertible and the procedure for filling the fluid is in the 69 Fisher body manual starting on page 13-33.  I am not positive, but I believe 67's have the same system.  I would check the 67 Fisher body manual just to be sure.

Thanks for the response. I was starting to think that I asked a dumb question.

It's been a long time, but I think i used atf fluid in my 66 olds vert, sometime around the early 70's. If the lens is white, you probably have a clear bulb, and a yellow bulb.

Yes on the center emblem for the grill. I believe yellow is the correct color bulb at least that is what the 67's I've had, had.
