1967 Camaro 327 with a Powerglide. I am switching over to a Muncie 4 speed and I do not see a place to attach the clutch return spring. A big block has a metal bracket you attach to the exhaust manifold. Where do you attach the clutch spring to on a small block?? I have a rod that connects to the clutch fork and the other end of the rod connects to a spring. The spring has to hook on something but I cannot figure out what ... Help ??? I don't want to drill a hole in the engine mount ... What did the spring attach to from the factory ??
There should be a small hole (for the spring) in the engine mounting bracket.

Is the engine mounting bracket also called the motor mount ?? I checked that and there are no holes on either mount ( passenger or drivers side) . If I have to
I can drill a small hole into the mount for the spring ......
That's the engine mount frame bracket - look closely and you should see a small hole in the flange that overhangs the rear edge of the crossmember.
Is this the engine bracket ? I do not see a hole on mine ?
or isthis the bracket that should have the hole in it for the spring ??
The first photo (the frame bracket, not the rubber mount) should have the small hole for the clutch return spring.
I know it's probably not at the top of your list, but if you get a chance could you take some pictures and/or describe how the process went? I've got a '68 with a powerglide, and I've contemplated the same swap many times.
Thanks, and sorry I didn't have any advice to offer.

Here's a photo I found of a clutch return spring on a 67 small block (no, not mine).
I swapped a pg for muncie. I couldnt find any hole for the return spring so i made one lol
