67 ragtop door weatherstrip
« on: April 13, 2012, 03:37:16 AM »
hi all   been off the planet for quite sometime.  can anyone tell me who makes the best door rubber sets. i installed a set i purchased from classic industries. i beleive they were sofseal.  they do not fit very well at all. at the top of the door say adjacent to the out side handle they are very bulky and fit very loose.  is there another manufacturer you would recommend?  is this common with sofseal?  thanks ;) ;)

Soffseal and Metro are the only two I know of that are worth considering.

My vote is Metro.  Used them on my trunk, & worked great...didn't have to slam the lid or wait for hot weather before the seal seated properly.

That's what I used and they fit great. They are a little stiff and yes you have to slam the doors to get it shut But the driver door is getting lots better the more I drive it. I think in a month or so they will be OK.
