Are there any stats as to how many of the 20,000 69 z28's came with the m22 option

According to Colvin there were 2117 M-22's installed in Camaros in 1969.  This is not Z/28 specific but a total for camaro production.

Was the m-22 an option only for solid lifter motors? The reason that I ask is that there is  a 396/350 horse car here localy that the owner claims is a m-22 car and i think that i read in chevrolet by the numbers that it was  only for Z/28 and L78 cars.

Yes - available from the factory only with solid-lifter engines (Z/28, L-78/89, L-72 COPO). Lots of people claim "their" car with a hydraulic-lifter engine came with an M-22, but it didn't.

I added up the Z28 production, L78 production, L89 and the 427 cars (ROUGH number because I don't have an exact number of 427 cars).

Take 2117 M22 cars divided by total above and I get about 8 percent.

Not sure this is the correct way to do this, but it is at least an estimate.
