z28 search any help would be appreciated
« on: October 25, 2011, 03:50:39 AM »
Looking for help locating a 1969 Z28 out of Texas. We last sold the car in 78. When it was sold here in Houston by my brother in 78 it was dark blue with Flames and white interior. It had been custom painted by Frank's custom paint. The car was originally burgundy or garnet red with white stripes and white standard interior. When he sold it it still had the 302 in it and it had a lot of hi performance work done to it. The 4 speed had been replaced by a T-400. It had Shelb slots on it. It was sold to a guy south of Houston that worked for one of the big oil companies. I know this is old information to go by but all I have at the moment. My brother passed recently and I am trying to locate the car. Please call or email with any info

thanks for your time

Finding anything with the VIN would be helpful. Insurance papers, old registration any thing like that...Joe

Roy, have you tried to search through the Auto Data Direct website? You would need the vin number to check on past title history. You may also want to reach out to Camaro clubs in Texas to generate some leads, best of luck and hope you get reunited with the car.
