Holley Carb

All you decoders out there. I found a Holley carb List 1850, dated 392, # 5752426. My book goes back to 64 and this appears to be a late 63 or early 64. Anyone can help?

I was going by by the Cars and Parts Catalog of Chevy V-8 Engine Casting Numbers 55-93 and stamped numbers which says on page 84 that Holleys without a part # are aftermarket. It shows pictures of with and without and says the part # is usually 7 digits and usually over the list # which mine is.

Ed, I just reread your reply. I guess an over the counter part  would have a part # since they would not be aftermarket.     Thanks

Holley has been making that carburetor for 53 years - they still make them today; it's been the "universal replacement" 600 CFM vacuum-secondary carb for decades.

I also have a Holley 1850 carb decode question. The numbers are 1850-4 and 3074. It sits atop a 1971 Chevy SB V8 307cid. Any decode assist is appreciated. Thanks.

Like John stated above, it's the Holley "Universal replacement" carb sold at speed shops around the world for half a century. Yours was built in early November, 1994 (?) (The -4 was the 4th generation of this carb so it's probably a 1994 manufacture. There's also a -2, -3, -5 and -6, all indicating the generation.)
