Does anyone know if the original pinion yokes were painted, cadplated or left as bare steel.

The NOS yoke I had was a grey-black phosphate finish.

In production, after the rear axle assembly was completed [less brake lines] the yoke was masked with a paper sleeve. The axle & drums were then painted semi-gloss black.

as a side note the E-brake cables were installed and masked for painting.
