Speaking 69 Z/28 Drive Shafts
« on: May 12, 2011, 09:59:44 PM »
Spent an hour or so viewing all sorts of different topics and saw one on drive shafts but danged if I can locate it again. Redoing the M21 trans shortly,  leaks like a sieve since cheap gaskets were used a few years ago during a major overhaul. Two questions, can anyone recommend a good quality gasket set that's not made of "rice paper" and won't start to leak a few weeks after being installed and Jerry M calls for the DS to be natural metal in color, any paint mfg suggestions besides Seymours cast blast that would be concourse correct.
I can also shoot photos of numbers etc if anyone needs the info.  Norwood 02A X33 723 57 57 V0130DZ
Thanks

correct would not be painted, there is no other way, cast blast will not age like the correct finishes and will end up looking out of place in a year or two... I use boeshield or cosmoline and am very happy with the natural finishes on the cars I restore. yes they are a little more maintenance, however they are correct and look/age much better than paint.
