Decode your vin here:
http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#VIN
and your cowl tag here:
http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#CowlTag
Wouldn't hurt (if you want the truth) to post a photo of the cowl tag here and see if the experts feel it is the real thing or a fake.

Should be two color codes one for lower body and one for upper body. A letter code  after the color would indicate the color of the vinyl or rag top.

Thanks guys..This has been fun...I found out a lot tonight...By this car being built the last week of Feb. I should buy it for my wife since her birthday is Feb. 25th ...Do you think this will help sell her on the deal...This car is one of 652 cars built the last week of Feb. 1969..

This there anywhere I can apply the vin # to see what dealership this car was sold to..If not, maybe our DMV will have some of this info...

Where did you come up with the figure for how many cars were built 02D???  I don't believe that to be correct.  Is this car in North Carolina?

That's fine, if you do the math better. :)
17,444 units in Feb (realize that's not a perfect # but close) yields about 4400/week. Production was 912/day, so that's about right.

Not that is matters, but here is how I came up with 652...End of Feb. Vin.# 607164 minus the car vin number 606512 = # 652  from the last week..And you are correct 17444/4=4361 car/week...

Mine (606402) was 110 units ahead of yours, and was built on February 27th and shipped on February 28th per the GM of Canada paperwork.

Those are two very different calculations. One is how *far* from the last VIN of Feb per Chevrolet. The other is the appoximate production volume for the last week.
Yes, your is 652 units after the last VIN of the month.

If you post the drivetrain codes, we can help with those too.
