68 camaro console clock surround.

Does anyone know if the metal surround for the console clock came optioned in a chrome version or were they all black. I'm asking as I stripped off the old paint on mine and found that it was chrome underneath and was just curious to find out.

I'm not positive, but I'd say black only.  I've never seen a chrome one.
