Does anyone know what number AC Fuel pumps I need for a late 68 L78 and an early 69 L78 Big Block?

40727 for 69 L78 and I if I remember correctly 40470 for 67 and 68 L78.

The 40568 is the pump on my 9B of 68 built survivor L34 as well. I also found one on a 14K mile copo.

Paceme,
As JohnZ has stated that the revision dates could be several months off from the actual implementation date.
The 67AIM shows L35 A7 to use 6440468 and L78 A7 6440470. The 68AIM shows L34 A1 to use 6440468 and L78 A5 6440568. 68 AIM does not show anything for L35.
Your 9B is pretty close to 68 start up so I wonder if the 6440470 was ever used in 68?
Does your 9B have a 6440468 or 6440568 pump?
Anyone have an original 68 early production L78 with 6440470 pump?
Bob

Bob, my L34 has a 6440568. I find the copo more interesting since it was built much later (1969) and I would have thought it would have had a 40727. Could the pump have been replaced with the 568 of course. It has the correct weep hole configuration and large logo.  I only cite unrestored examples because of the overall integrity of original components.
