Does the water pump pulley have a smooth edge or rippled edge like in the pic in this thread?
http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=7082.0

I also note in your pics that the alternator may not be the original [double groove pulley]

I'll check for an impression in the book, good idea.

I'll also check the pulley for ripples.  Interesting stuff.

I noticed the alternator as well, near as I can tell, the alternator, battery, tires and probably exhaust have been replaced.  Oh, and the battery tray, I did that one myself with a new reproduction.

What part number is stamped into yours? Do you know if it's the original?

Great car Stiney!  I'd keep it just like you found it.  Chances are slim you'll ever find another one this original.

Although the Protect-O-Plate is still MIA, I found the info printed on the next page, up under the VIN Punchout.   No impressions, but this looks like the same stuff.

E      G2    124378N428847  D
V0430ME    ?A0502G
T8C22    3   5

The ? character is very faint, and has 4 holes from the VIN punched right on it.  Maybe a "P"?

And the "D" on the first line may be a "P" also?

Also the Warranty manual has some handwritten info on the front cover  "Camero-Gold   Stock #674-A  1272  Ralley Sport"   Yes, Camero is mispelled....

And the Owners manual has this handwritten on the back cover.  Possibly the dealership?  "Walker Inman 2437 Gold - 428847"

Here is a scan of the POP info and VIN area.

And a picture of the Water Pump pulley.  Yes, it has the ripples....

Unfortunately, I know for sure that I need to sell this.  I'd rather someone on here get it, instead of just throwing it on Ebay.  Shoot me a PM or a email if you are seriously interested.   :'(

Thanks for the fan pulley close-up :) That part sure looks original and has the ripple edge.
Can you have another look when you have time and see if the part number includes the 'CF' code.
Cheers

Thanks Paul.   I was going to notify everyone first thing this morning, but you tree'd me.

Your welcome!

I've never heard the expression, "tree'd" before.  Here's the definition if anyone else is in the same boat...

tree'd - To have something posted/written/stated/said/implied/ or expressed before someone(s) says the same idea/thought/concept.

Paul

I get 3.08 without pulling the cover.  3 driveshaft revolutions for 1 wheel revolution.

stiney, on the front of the passenger side axle tube is the rear end stamping. it will give you the two digit axle code and the assembly date. this will be the same as the POP> the first digit is missing on the POP. all the other info will be the same.
