67 vent window frames
« on: April 07, 2010, 11:21:15 PM »
Anyone have any ideas on where I can pick up the vent window frames for my 67 Camaro? I referring to the "back" part of the vent window that has the piece that goes down into the door frame and is held in place by the screw in the inner door and a bolt at the bottom. I've looked all over for these and can't find anything here in Wisconsin.

As far as I know, even in Rick's '10 catalogue it's not reproduced. E-bay or place a wanted ad on TC. Also hunt C.list for a compete door.

Is this the heavey chrome piece?   Or is it the sub frame piece that you cant see once all the hardware { vent window, rubber moulding, glass }is put on?

If you are talking about the front door glass channel that attaches to the vent window frame   oldmusclecars.com    has them listed in their catalog in the weather strip section. Hope this is it.  19.95 per set.

Nothing on that page lists for 19.95. Are you talking about the "front door glass run channels", part #97086501? Copy and paste the link of the part you found if this is not it. http://1967-81camarocarparts.com/catalogPDFs/F1%2012%20weatherstrip.pdf

Yes that's what I found. My catalog says they are 19.95 per set. To the best of my knowledge this is what he is describing.

Did you find what you needed?  I think you are talking about the metal vertical channel that is the back of the Vent Window frame and the front channel of the Door Window, correct?  The top part has Stainless cover on it.  What they are describing above is just the weatherstrip for this part. Have you ever been to Jefferson, WI. Swap meet???   It is going on this weekend.

Myred67:

You are correct in the discription of what I am looking for. It appears that parts I thought I may have has fallen thru. I have been to Jefferson many times and this year was no exception. We did find any this year. But I am still looking.

Maybe you can post a question on here and ask if these Channels are inter-changeable with anything else, ie: Chevelle or Nova hdtp..  Just a thought.

The channels you need are on EBay.  I'm sending link for left side, but they have both.
