Rear defogger

I got a defogger off eBay that the guy insists is for a 69 Camaro Coupe.  The defogger does not even come close to a fitting the sheet metal holes.  Here's the part # off the blower houseing  P/N 3023590-2-.  the separator plate # is 9843811, the grill is 9884678 with an additional # under that one of 9624516.  I've looked but have not found what the part # fits.  Is there a listing of old part #'s somewhere?

Close as I can get with my parts books is somewhere in the 1971 to 1975 time frame for various Chevrolet cars.

Thanks for the info guys...my defogger looks nothing like the photo.   I guess it's going back on eBay and the hunt is on for the right one.  I did get the correct switch from the deal...at least!  Mark, you got the part # for the right one? Just so I can ask the question if I find one.

My '67-'69 P & A says this:

     Grille- #3899746 coupe
     Hole trim cover- #3899736
     Case- #3015043
     Motor-#4918684
     Fan- #3016769   

The '68 Assembly Manual states that there is a complete case, fan, blower assembly which is part #3014891..... should be the same for the '69 coupe.

The blower in my '69 RW defogger has an insulation pad between the blower and the package tray sheet metal, contoured to the shape of the blower, and reinforced with a wire mesh as shown.  It appears to be original. 

Were these insulated pads commonly used or installed originally?

What's your build date? My 02D '69 has never been touched, and doesn't have the insulator; maybe a running change?

Good point - I thought about this just after I posted.  It's a Norwood 05A (1st week of May) car.

Does anyone else have a mid to late build ’69 with the original RW defog, that may include the installation pad I've show above in this topic?  If so, what is your build date?

Maybe someone has a late ’69 revision Chevrolet Dealer service parts book that may show the insulation pad and list a part number? 

Since the blower was installed in the “body shell” in the Fisher Body Plant at Norwood, the “C50” Rear Window Defog contents are not shown in the Chevrolet Assembly Plant AIM.  Only the dash switch is illustrated on page 193.

The Sept 68 P&A shows the following:

Group 9.778 Defroster Unit and parts

68 All
69 All (exc Corvair) - Gasket, Motor mounting - 3015030

It also shows a Convertible mounting gasket:

68-69 Chevelle, Camaro (Conv) - Gasket, defog blower - 3929038

Dave.....Is your car a convertible?  The parts book shows a blower gasket #3929038 but it is for the convertible only.

Could it have anything to do with standard or deluxe interior and extra insulation with that option ?

My 02D car (photo above) has the deluxe interior and no gasket.

my van nuys built is also 02D  mine does not have a gasket either.
