67 inner pillar post moldings
« on: March 22, 2010, 09:03:19 PM »
Hi Guys
I'm sure you can help.
Whats the best way to install new inner pillar post moldings?
I have installed a new dash pad and the moldings are very tight.
I'm afraid I will break the moldings with too much force.
This is on a 67 model. Thanks for any ideas.

In production, the '67-'68 A-pillar moldings were installed first, then the dash pad last.

Thanks for your reply
Thats what I thought also. I had called my parts supplier and was told
to put the molding on top of the pad.
I probably would have broken my new moldings if I followed thier advice!
Thanks for clarifing it for me.

John that is not correct, they sit on top of the dash pad in 67 & 68.

Dig383, I have a question regarding the car you are installing these in. Does it have the chrome metal side headliner trim, or is it the color keyed plastic windlace trim?...............RatPack...............
Just keep livin......L I V I N .............
