1967 396 Tire Size
«

When the 396 option was introduced in 1967 was the tire size increased from D70 14 to E70 14? I just noticed in the Assembly Manual that it calls for E70's on the 396. I am specifically interested in L78 optioned cars.
Thanks for the help.

Here on the CRG website it is covered. Scroll down under the L78 column. Maybe the CRG has an error.

Gary, Thanks for the reply. I always believed the tires were D70. However looking through the Assembly Manual I noticed it called for E70's for the 396 cars. In my manual it is on pg 74 (UPC 4 Ref B4 B8)
