Just my .02 diping is the worst thing you can do non acid or not .I have worked on several cars that have had parts and bodies done and have had to cut thing apart and the chemicals are still in the seams even if they are washed and ecoated.I have painted cars and tried to do everything possible from pouring epoxy primer in the seams to spraying grease in the seams after paint and they always bleed .
I don't agree.
I had my entire car chemical dipped 3 years ago. Yes, you will have to deal with some leaching of the chemical for a while, but it will eventually dry out. I also treated all the seams with a neutralizer which really helped. Remember, most seams are out of sight too.
My car was absolutely beautiful after dipping and I am extremely happy I did it.
