Master Cylinder
« on: January 24, 2010, 06:58:02 PM »
As one part of my restoration, I'm reduning the brake system. The car is a 67 with front disc brakes. The current master cylinder is a two reservior, singel bail cylinder, stamping # is 5462810 Y. It has the distribution block (the wire has been disconnected) and the meter valve. The cylinder needs to be rebuilt as it is leaking at the rear. I have one opinion that this is not the correct cyllinder for front disc brakes. The bore is 1". Guess I don't want to rebuild it if it is not correct. It also does not have the bleeders. I am also going to replace the booster as it is pretty ugly looking. Open to ideas/opinions.
Thanks.

If the booster is just ugly, Jerry can probably refinish it for you.
