You're welcome, Mike.  I looked at the axles again and they match up with your observations.

Yes they did, and they used two of them on an axle.

Does anyone know if the front bracket and the plate welded to the body are the same on a firebird as on a camaro? Looking at the one eBay the bracket does look similar.

Didn't know that! Thanks! I found a firebird in the junkyard last year that still had the radius rod assembly on it. Going to go this weekend to see if it's still there.

I thought those plates are now in reproduction.

I don't know. I've seen the brackets and radius rods though so I would imagine they are. Anyone know who has them? I am also going to look for parts for my '68 C-10. Just going to have a fun Saturday  ;D

Yep, you're correct. Just saw all the brackets and plate for sale on the Rick's Camaro website.

Kurt,  I recently acquired a 1967 SS 350 (RS package also) with a Powerglide trans.

01D build date
no radius rod
2nd design axle bracket; no body bracket, just the 2 bolts coming thru the floor
VIN is 124377N178723
rear axle is QK 0120 G
unfortunately I have no documentation for it
