Mine was still pretty pliable. I ran a small flat screwdriver around the edge of the glass. VERY CAREFULLY. I started across the bottom and worked my way up the sides. There is only a small lip there. Once you are most of the way up the sides, you will be able to just pull the top out. I didn't try to take the Gray rubber out of the housing. I never found a way to do that, and in the end, I didn't have to. To put it back together I just did the reverse, using a Popsickle stick so as not to scratch the Glass.
