69 z28 clutch pedal adjustment?
« on: September 08, 2009, 01:49:51 PM »
Is there some way of adjusting the clutch pedal height? maybe this is normal but the clutch pedal is alot closer to the driver than the brake pedal. aren't the clutch and brake pedal supposed to be somewhat even?

Thanks, Jon

That is correct to have the clutch pedal higher, it should rest on the rubber clutch stop.

The clutch return spring should hold the clutch pedal up against the rubber bumper on the pedal support (Assembly Manual, UPC 7, sheet C2, item #9), then adjust the lower fork pushrod to get 1" to 1-1/2" of pedal free play between the full-up position (against the bumper) and the point where you feel resistance when depressing the pedal (throwout bearing contacting the clutch fingers).
