Just a point of information on 041 vs 186 castings. Back in the 80s when I was big into head porting, I found the 041 to be a better and cleaner casting than the 186. I used ported 041s on my vette until last year. If you have a set of 041s they are a VERY GOOD casting.

I have a set of 041s that are very clean but need 186s to sit atop of my DZ block .I'm looking for March or early April 69 .

Sorry Steve,  the ones I  have are later than April...   earliest set I have are E15 9.   I also have a set of  June '70's...
I'm looking for a set of late July to August '69 heads.... :)
