More follow up on this car! It seems back in the early 60s, a GM exe. retired and was given a chevy store. Since he had pull high in GM they gave him a early camaro in 1966 which were called a Panther as desribed in previous post. This car was not for sale and had no title, it was used as a promo to take orders when the new Camaro came out. In 1967 when the camaro came out the dealer did not return this car to GM. Instead he gave it to his kid to drive with a dealer plate, a few years later he some how got a title and sold it to the guy who still owns it. HAS ANYONE ELSE EVER HEARD OF THESE CARS USED AS PROMO ELSEWHERE? THIS IS NOT THE 1967 DEALER INSTALLED PANTHER CAR SOLD LIKE A BALDWIN!

I have a 1991 Super Chevy Camaro anniversary edition. It mentions the Panther which was also refered to as XP-386. Other than that, there is nothing else mentioned.

Without the VIN and tag info, I'm not believing that it's not a regular Camaro. Titling it a different year is actually pretty easy...
The story goes against how GM handled prototype cars.
