69 Z28 Backing plates

Can anyone tell me what the correct part numbers are for the front disc brake backing plates on a 69 Z28? Is 5463496 and 97 correct? I tried over at Team Camaro and didn't get any replys. Thanks

Hi,
The part numbers you are looking for should be 5463565 (left hand) and 5463566 (right hand). These numbers are from rev 5/80 Chevrolet catalog. Hope this helps. Jim

Jim...thanks for the reply. I did a search on those parts numbers and came up with Firebird and Lemanns as the application. Your parts numbers may supersede my numbers according to one source and they are for all mid size disc brake cars in 69. I can't seem to find any info on this. I know there are guys on this forum with original Zs, hopefully they will shed some light.

As per catalog those numbers are also for 69-72 Chevelle; 69-72 Chevy; 73-74 Nova and 69 Camaro w/o JL-8. These numbers are found in gr 5.002. I did look at my '69 SS and the numbers you have are what is stamped on the backing plate. The numbers in the catalog may be revised numbers. Hope this helps. Jim
