Correct 69 Camaro Emblem Placement - Front Fenders
« on: November 15, 2008, 04:40:42 PM »
Need Help.  My 69 Z28 was repainted before I bought it 3 years ago. It does not have the Camaro emblems on either of the front fenders.  I am ready to install the emblems but, as most of you know, the AIM does not give an easily understood reference location on where to start the holes.

I am looking for 2 "rough" dimensions for the Camaro emblem on both the left & right front fenders near the door.
1) A measurement in inches from the horizontal seem on the fender down to a "line" being the very bottom of the Camaro emblem.
2) A measurement in inches from the edge of the fender & door to the beginning of this "line"

My car is far from being a perfect Z so the dimensions do not have to be perfect.  Some of the other posts recommend to trace one from an original Z.  Sorry, but don't know of any originals close by.   I'm just looking to see if there will be a consensus on these 2 dimensions from the owners of original Z's.  That would work for me.   Appreciate your help.
Thanks.

John S.
