'68 Console 4 speed shifter boot to cover tunnel hole....?
« on: October 22, 2008, 06:03:29 PM »
Hey there....

Anyone know if the '68's with console 4 speed had any kind of boot inside the console to keep the weather outside ?

I know there's a slider, a retainer and an upper seal right at the top portion where the woodgrain plate is. There might be other items at the top portion I am unaware of. (Items that would hold the slider, retainer and seal). Any other items at the top?

But, is there also a boot that attached to the floor, that would not be visable once the console is in place?

A source for these items and a picture, drawing, or diagram of the assembly would be much appreciated.

As always, thanks in advance.

Classic Industrties has it under part number 3974526--same as GM's part number.
