I recently
purchased a 1967 camaro from a guy who had restored about 80% of the car and
I am working on finishing the interior. I was wondering if you had a nice
close up picture or some details on how the steering column fits through the
firewall and what plates and seals are used to finish this area. I believe
that I have all of these parts but I am unable to figure the puzzle out. I
am willing to read a book or look at diagrams so if you could at least tell
me what you feel is a good item to use for referance ( factory assembly
manual or a chiltons book or any materials) that would be helpful.
The Camaro is a 327 4-spd car. Originally Nantucket Blue with a standard
blue (light blue) interior. A very cool piece. No power steering. No power
brakes, drums all the way around. Unfortunately it is not the original
engine. It is from a 68 Impala but it looks very authentic in the engine
bay. I was told that it is the correct and original muncie 4 spd and 12 bolt
rear end. I have yet to confirm but it is all in good functional order. It
is a solid all metal car. There are a three holes in the trunk about the
size of a quarter each but very easily repaired. I have no desire to clone
this car into something that it is not. It seems everyone is doing that.
Anyway.
Thank you for any help you can give.
