Can anyone confirm when the voltage regulator hardware switched from the rubber encased nuts and shoulder bolts, to the securing the regulator directly to the core support with course threaded "sheet metal" screws, P/N-177999, as show in the 69 AIM, UPC Sec. 6, page 90?
The AIM documentation change history shows the (3) screw changed from 9428404 (need to confirm the "8", it's hard to read), on 7/22/68 (again, the "7" is hard to read). This documentation change may have been a “running change”, meaning that the old hardware would have been used up before switching to the new hardware part number.
Were there any early 69's that originally used the rubber encased nuts and shoulder bolts?
