That's easy!  I assumed you wanted a NOS one since those are the hard one's to find.  Here's AC Delco's closest replacement... http://store.heartbeatcity.net/store/product/13699/Air-cleaner-element%2C-C-plenum/

Have fun!

i have a cowl plenum unit that i purchasd and it had what looks like possibly a K and n type filter...the material under the mesh is purple color...I know that Ive seen them on cars with I believe a brushed alum?? lid...I dont see any type of numbers on the filter...but, it seems to fit well...Ill try and post a pic if i can

Try taking the AC A226CW part number to a parts store and have them try to cross it over to another brand. It might be worth a shot.

Some of the AC697s fit the cowl plenum and others don't.  I haven't figured that out yet.  I have one in my white survivor Z28 now and there are no clearance issues.  I do know of others who had clearnace issues though.

I bought the A697C from Heartbeat City referenced above (reasonably cheap...worth a gamble) and found that it did not fit my 67 CP Air Cleaner.  The filter is too tall by about 1/8".  Its close...but definitley does not fit.  Paul

Is it possible since these were not high volume parts, the the diff is in the housing, and not the filters? You know 1st batch, 2nd batch etc....

What's the going price for an original A226CW air filter?  This one did not sell (reserve not met) at $381.05...     :o
