Brake Fluid Leak
« on: January 04, 2006, 03:10:08 AM »
Help CRG.   ??? A day or so after I drive my 68, I get a drop or two leak of brake fluid.  I've isolated the leak to a line connection near the master cylinder and think (hope) I've fixed it.  My question is: Why the leak a full 24 hours after driving?  I never saw it leak right after driving.  I would have thought that the pressure of appling the brakes would make the leak show up right away.  (The line is a front disc line, by the way.)  Is this just a wierd coincidence or the nature of brake line leaks?

A very very small leak usually won't spill a bunch more fluid under normal braking pressure. If the leak was large enough to make instant drops/puddles, the brake pedal would rapidly drop to the floor.
-Hope you fixed the leak!
Good luck

It's been a month... and no more leak!  Looks like it was just the connection.
Thanks for the encouragement! ;D ;D ;D
