Everything except Muncie 4-speeds had the speedo cable hole outboard of the steering column, just below and inboard of the fuse block; Muncie 4-speeds had the cable hole inboard of the steering column, just below and slightly inboard of the wiper motor. The standard hole near the fuse block was in all cars, and had a plug installed in it on Muncie 4-speed cars. Photo below of the standard hole near the fuse block.

John,
Happen to have an image of what an original plug for the standard speedo-cable hole would look like?

Don't have a photo, but it's a black plastic Caplug, installed from the engine side of the firewall.

The Muncie 3-speed cable runs the same as the 4-speed, inboard from the steering column.

Steve,
If your still interested in a pic of the plug, I can take one and post it here.

Yes Dave,
I'd like to see an original plug.
