I am the owner of what I think to be a real 1967 Z28. The issue is
that when I purchased the car 7 years ago, the trim tag was missing. I
assumed is was originally an RS SS car, so a badged it accordingly. It
does have the original bracket for the rear support arm to the diff,
making it a 12 bolt car. It did originally have a 4 speed, still has the
original disc brakes and manual steering. When I was doing an engine
swap this summer, I found a hole that had been covered up on the top right
of the firewall. It was a hole about 2" tall by 10" long. I am
currently trying to track down the previous owner who used to race the car. It
is still a very solid street car. It now has a 350 / 4 speed / 12 bolt rear and none of these were in the car when I purchased it. It is a Norwood car. I purchaed it in Illinois, it spent some time in Texas with the previous owner and I live in Colorado. Any ideas on tracking down some
supporting documentation?? I have sent letters to the previous owner, no response. Vin number: 124377N251190
