2002 35th anniversary camaro
« on: December 27, 2005, 04:46:53 AM »
when i took delivery of the 2002 35th anniversary ss i did not notice what has turned out to be an obvious error in the painting of the car

good thing i took pictures as the dealership when i picked it up

the black triangle in front of the hood scoop in not painted black but is the color of the body paint

any thoughts on this?????

i have seen a number of pictures and have seen 2 other 35th's and all have the black triangle

I suggest you asking this question to a 4th Gen site.  Try chirpthird.com,  I'm sure someone there can help you.  There is also a site for 35th Aniv. Camaros but I'm not sure of the location.

Bud, ...Why you sending him over to chirpthird, ...those people don't know anything  ;D

The area of the hood scoop for the anniversary cars is not painted, ...it's a decal.
Sounds like they simply forgot to put one on your car.

Kevin,

I was just trying to help.  I should just keep my mount shut because I don't know anything about 4th Gen Camaros either.    :-[

...I hope you (actually everyone) realizes that my comment about chirpthird is a joke, ...since I'm there all the time. There ARE a lot of 4th gen 'guru's there, ...as well (of course) a few 1st gen 'nuts' , ...like me  ;D

Have a safe, happy and HEALTHY New Year everyone ... :)

Kevin is correct, its a decal and can be bought at the dealer.maybe your car was repainted or the hood replaced for some reason but i doubt that slp forgot to put a decal on.on another note are you sure its a real 35th ss anniversary? look at the option decal on the drivers door and make sure it has the Z4C option code!!!  ;D
