ok ---I appreciate it---the funny thing about this car is it was converted to a drag car and then sat in the desert for I estimate 18 years----the undercarriage is completely sand blasted and sand though out the car...it had ucla stickers all over it and i found and bracelet and two qauters under driver seat ,,,,one from 1965 and the other 1970......the thing that led me to believe it was an SS was- 1) the holes for the front ss emblems were glazed over from a repaint and the factory traction bar plate on the floorboard.....and of course the unaltered firewall tag....this car is going to the body shop next to be painted GG  granada gold===centari with over coat of clear after sanding it down again with 1000. grit....getting excited about that!!   great forum

Slim chance... but since you will have it in the shop, search for a broadcast sheet.

the thing thats kind of cool is the was painted marina blue sometime during its life then i am assuming the gal who went to ucla had it painted purple,,,it was in a minor accident and the drivers fender had some bondo on it,,,i think at the point it was painted that god awful color the owner decided they did not want any stripe on the front end,,,the windshield was replaced at that time,,,my body man came to my home and we worked on the right front fender near the headlight and tapped out the dent and cleaned up the bondo we took two ss emblems and they fit correctly in the factory holes on the fenders,,,,the car has all the factory sheet metal!

Disc brakes were an available option on 67's, and used the 4-piston fixed calipers - same caliper castings that were used on the Corvette.

Above the gas tank, under a seat, or maybe not at all.  As long as its being prepped for painting might as well look!

I have checked those places----but this car has been picked over pretty good...it is partically disasembled now...I like original cars and this one will appear stock on the outside,,,,,327---muncie m20 console --stock interior etc but will not be a numbers car.....but it will look like a start to a builder at the end of next week after its painted!!!
