Paper Tag tucked in seat springs (Instan-Form)
« on: March 04, 2025, 07:17:53 PM »
I apologize now if this has been posted before I have searched on everything I can think of to no avail. Does/can anyone provide any feedback or decypher the information written on it?

This was under the seat spring on my 67 RS/SS. I had one under the rear seat as well but misplaced it somewhere around here.

Cheers!

I found one of those in my 67 LOS Camaro under the seat.
I think that is the interior stye tag. Does the 414 number in the upper right match the sequence number on the trim tag by chance?

It's the tag used by the upholstery area when building up the seats.
I've frequently seen them in the wrong car (a black seat is a black seat, what matters is having the correct quantity for the line).
Can you post your trim tag?

Hey Kurt,

Thanks for the reply. Since my original post I had an "aha" moment thanks to Mike's response.

So, I went back and reviewed my cowl tag again. If I’m reading this correctly, the numbers on the paper tag seem to align with info on my cowl tag. This is how I associated the paperwork and my cowl tag. Let me know your thoughts on my translation.

"2637" aligns with 67-12637 = V8 Deluxe (350 ci in my case)
"G" aligns with Granada Gold which is color of int and ext of my car
"11" aligns with 711 representing gold bucket seats
"Z" aligns with the Strato bucket seats same as my car where I found this tag

As for the COMB line item: I can only assume that the "2R" represents 2 individual seats somehow?? Being buckets?? No clue what the "R" would mean.

As for the initial tag I sent, Job # is 4 -414.
I attached the rear seat tag that I did not have in my first post. Job # 45-574. (I think anyway)
No idea what these numbers mean/represent.

I look forward to any information you can provide.

Cheers!

2R is the code from the trim tag. That means the first tag wasn't from your car since you don't have 2R (U80).
The Job No is probably the Fisher Body rotation/sequence number.
