reproduction body or other orginal body

Hey guys and gals, I'm needing to know what you think I should do. I have a 1968 Z/28 with lots of options and all orginal numbers with paper work and protecto plate. The body is so bad that I would have to change nearly every part. Do I buy a repo
body or rebuild this one or I also have a 68 body that has NO rust. What do you think? Thanks for you input. Gary
The good body is about 4 months different in build date.

Some pictures would be helpful. The repop bodys arer't exact. Using the rust free body would meen changing VINs....maybe. Maybe grafting the 2 together might be an option. I would try to retain as much of the original car as possible. But then again, I live in southern Arizona & don't really see these problems...Joe

In my world, as long as the trim tag, VIN plate, and firewall with the hidden VINs are intact as a unit, it doesn't matter. What is your end goal?

"options and all original numbers with paper work and protecto plate."
easy for me to say: At all cost Fix what is available, rebody gets you in a stick situation in my opinion
Of Course Pics would be interesting as usual.
