The valve covers, air cleaner and carburetor would be less than the least of my concerns for verification. Any documents and clear pictures of the dash VIN, engine pad stamp and trim tag go a long way for starters.

Ive been looking at 69 Camaros heater hoses and I see that some are going to the heater core in the middle of the car and some have them towards the passenger fender why is that? did it have something to do with the build date it was changed ?

Small block vs. big block. SB closer to the center, BB closer to the center of the heater box (passenger fender).

My thoughts are rust and body damage, a 69 convertable with legal tags and title has considerable value but 20k worth of body work would be my big factor. I know where one is about the same shape near me left in an estate but they seem to think they have the holy grail of camaros.

I looked at the car again today its been about 2 years since I saw it last.( Been trying to buy this for like 4 years)  Its been sitting outside and the fenders and quarters were pretty rusted and did have frame rot. A large  tree limb fell on top of the car and crushed the convertible top pretty good. They still wanted 35k I left a huge project that im not ready to get involved it. oh well thanks everyone for the help. not meant to be. I get heart broken seeing an original car sitting outside rusting away like that.

Well that is Discouraging.  Languishing. It WILL be Available someday or Vaporized making the remaining more valuable.
Any "LASY" in the Wild photos as it sits?

it still has to have some value and I like the car but is a huge project to take on, they think its gold , do you think the top bows can be straightened or would they need to be replaced its not crushed flat but pushed dow from a branch. I never took a new picture of it I should of. but after I left maybe I should of offered 20 or 25  your thoughts

It would still be a major project, but it would give you another 10-15k to work with. If you just want to get in running and on the road, that would go a long way. If you want a complete restoration bringing the car back to original condition, you might need ten times that. It's a financial obligation that only you can determine is feasible for you.

The allure of the Pacer I understand, but  from your description, the car isn’t worth the price. We all feel sad watching a cool car rot away for whatever reason, but it’s not your car. 35k will get you a driver quality car all day. Move on, go get one, make it your own, and drive happy!

It's hard to walk away from something so unique but with known frame rot and other unidentified issues I'd be inclined to do so for that price.
