How's it look to you
« on: October 11, 2024, 03:08:22 PM »
Looking to buy a 69 Z11 350 automatic car and it'd been sitting for awhile. Would like to check with you that the cars looks right I do have a question if the air cleaner is correct. It does not have the gauge package on the console and its a manual top car ill post a few of the pictures I have can you please give me your thoughts. The block pad in front I believe is stamped HB, it needs a restoration I just dont wanna buy a fake. How's the trim tag look? original?? Id love some advice before I go further with it

Your Question about the Air Cleaner is Spot on. A GM Original "HB" Coded TH350 equipped car would have the "Thermac" Heat riser Valve in the snorkel.

The is a Pace Car Registry, and posting the VIN here helps as well. There are fraudulent purchases lurking. Pictures of the VIN and engine pad would be great as well.

It would probably be in your best interest to hire a qualified appraiser to look at that car in person.

OK thankscrs been sitting for like 7 years on a trailer with a cover and it isn't running but does turn overweigh a breaker bar. If its real what would you think the value to buy it would be that would be my next step with the owner? I know its hard to judge from a few crummy pictures but just a ball park value? Also did all pace cars have tachs?

Steel, painted engine colour is correct. There was never an engine dress package. I've always viewed it as od that the big blocks in SS cars got chrome covers but 350 engine in SS didn't. Z/28s got finned covers in 1969. Chrome steel for 67/68.....Joe
