1969 z/28 rear leaf springs
« on: July 23, 2024, 09:59:49 PM »
Hi guys does anyone have information/recommendations on the factory arch/dimensions etc on my 4-leaf springs..I want to re-arch them to the correct factory specs..Maybe someone knows a business out there they'd recommend..I'd prefer using the original springs as they are originals..I have a local spring builder that is willing to re-arch them but we need some specs?

Thanks Dave

Eaton Springs has the original blueprints of the leaf springs used on the 1969 Z28 Camaro and I would suggest sending them an email and request the information you desire:

Good luck! - Mark

Thanks I'll give them a call..

If you don't mind, could you post feedback about their services? I've got an original set of 67s I need to get work done on.

I believe they/Eaton just sell new springs, and do not re-arch originals.

You are correct they only sell new products..My four leafs are the original to my '69 z/28..They are different from the current springs being produced (and Eaton will tell you the difference if you ask)..I was able to get some measurments out of the on the specs..

I was told to lay the leaf springs on their side..Take a straight edge and run it the length of the spring..Place the straight edge in line with the center of the eyelets..Measure upwards to the "pin" area in the spring pack..They gave me a measurment of 5 3/8" +- from the straight edge to the spring pack..However I need to call them back to clarify the inside of the spring pack or the top..Sorry for the partial response
