Hi First Gen Camaro Owners -

I'm getting my 1968 Camaro 327/210 base model coupe ready for concourse judging and have a few questions on battery tray clamps.  For background, I've also attached info from the 1968 Camaro Legends judging manual on the correct clamps.  From the manual, factory correct clamps have two crimped marks stamped into them and are a bit shorter than aftermarket ones.  I've attached a couple of photos of an aftermarket clamp which actually seems big to me.  Does anyone have the correct measurements of an original factory battery tray clamp?  Finally, are the correct clamps painted semi-gloss black and have the letter "K" stamped on them?  I very much appreciate the assistance.  Many thanks. gwp4.

I believe Year One makes them as a reproduction - which surprised me a bit.

Originals as u pictured are unique and easy for a judge to spot. Just as important is a correct tab like battery tray and battery hold down bolt which is not found anywhere else on car due to large captured washer. I have dimensions of tab on tray and bolts captured washer along with battery hold down clamp that was dip painted semi gloss black in my build thread found here

I have found different letter stamps used, also listed in my build thread but K was used.

I might have an extra one. I can't remember.  Let me know if ya still need it and I'll look through my parts cabinets. I am pretty sure I don't have an extra bolt. But I don't want to look if you found one. I gave away a hexagonal water pump bypass fitting and a couple other parts, even paid the shipping, now I need them... ha  Danny
