I saw this on one of the Camaro FB groups and was curious to see if a % has been observed on TT before. The letters seems to be a little to crisp to me as well

No reason to question the tag, compares well with other VN 10E tags.

During October 1968, Van Nuys worked overtime and ran out of alphabet. Started using symbols followed by three numbers: %000, &000, -000, ˝000, *000. Started over with A. Some October cars with an A schedule code were built 35 days apart.

Probably looks crisp because this one may not have been spray painted many times like a lot you see.
