Is that the same for all Flint engines? i.e. 327 & 350?  Also was Tonawanda any different?

I assume both the tube and dipstick were added after paint station? Like Alt and carb, etc?

thanks

I have never seen a painted upper tube on an original car. The tube and stick were added after paint. Alternator and carb were installed on the engine dress line at vehicle assembly plants.

Thanks William!  I am close to installing my dipstick on my original 327 engine and now I know the correct finish!
