Bill:

Was this originally at $8,000? I posted a query last month regarding the price to CRG. Seems a bit steep for an engine that needs to be rebuilt.

Yes it was orriginally 8000.I was not sure how much it was worth so I posted it the first time and said I was taking offers and 8000 was the highest offer I recieved. He never contacted me back after I told him I would sell it so I reposted it for 8000 thinking it was worth atleast that but apparently I was a little high so I have droped it to $6500.I guess I should have got on here and aked you guys how much it was worth before I put it up forsale.
thanks

Bill:

In my opinion, because the engine does not have a partial vin stamped  on the pad along with the suffix code anyone who has a 69 built in Late January thru the the 3rd week of March 69 could buy this engine and post it as at the very least numbers matching if not original. They could have the partial vin stamped on the pad which isn't illegal but frowned upon. Price is also set by supply and demand as I have stated in other posts. If someone is willing to pay $6500 for the engine more power to you. I just don't see myself paying that kind of money for a engine that needs to be rebuilt. One of my biggest concerns is that we are pricing ourselves right out of saving these first gen muscle cars.
Again this is just my opinion and not meant to besmirch what you are doing.

I think a V0331DZ motor would be too late for any March built car and certainly any car built before...looks like a second to third week of April motor to me
