Hello folks... Anyone care to comment on their experiences with car trackers or tracking tools? ...what works; what doesn't; etc. The Use case is to keep tabs on vehicle whereabouts (maybe also monitor usage??) during interstate transport?

Personally, I'm interested in Android specifically (or PC/web based), but i know there's also Apple stuff out there...

Thanks for any input!

Verizon has a GPS tracker that can plug directly into the OBD II. Our fleet at work uses them. 100% accurate.  Just open the app on Amy laptop or PC and fund it.

David; thank you for the info. I guess I should have been more clear, this is for my '67 Camaro (which obviously would not have OBD). Hoping to safeguard or defend against a repeat of total cluster flip from transport last summer...

Car 'disappeared' for 4 days during transport from PHX AZ to Morgantown PA last summer (& again, even longer, on the return trip). Truck driver had every disaster/excuse imaginable (except for 'the dog ate it' - LOL). I now believe the many disasters were total BS and I got played. Pretty sure it was 'joyrided' during the period it went MIA. Finally delivered at 8:30pm, the night before show start (I had planned for 3 prep days between delivery & show). Judges said underneath it looked like it was driven in the rain! (It was loaded with freshly painted undercarriage & detailed under hood).

If anybody has any suggestions how to keep tabs on vehicle (vintage) during shipment... Appreciate any suggestions!

P.S. alternative is do-it-yourself (2400 miles x2)?? again, any inputs appreciated!

An Apple Air Tag will do. Any undocumented mileage equals liquidated damages...as in there shouldn't be any. Don't cheap out, go with a name brand transportation company.
