'69 Z28 warning idiot light

Have a recently purchased '69 Z28 that has the factory console and gauges. Console gauges work as they should. However when I turn the ignition switch on, the gen, temp, fuel lights etc. don't light up. Are they supposed to with the factory console/gauge option?? If so, what should I be looking for to cure the problem. Just put new carrier surround and lens in for both the tach and speedo. They didn't work prior to the new parts either.

Someone needs to ask, my as well be me...did you turn the parking lights/headlights on?

On my 69 Z with console gauges, there are no lamps in the GEN,OIL PRESSURE locations, only turn indicators, bright lights, Brake and Low fuel and that will only come on when when the fuel is low enough to ground out the lamp to make it light. It does not come on with the ignition. Not sure about the brake light as when starting it is already on. But if I had to guess I would say no as it is also a ground connection.

Parking and headlamps work. I think these idiot light don't work when you have a console car with actual gauges. High beam blue light works.

If your car originally came with the center console and gauges, you shouldn't even HAVE the generator and temperature "idiot" lights. Post a picture of your dash cluster and your console gauges.
