POP Decoding

I'm trying to avoid the mistake it seems like anyone wanting to buy a Gen 1 is almost bound to make. I'm trying to decipher what is supposedly a POP that goes with a '68 convertible SS. See Image.  I'm struggling with trying to make sense of the number positions, etc. From what I see in the picture and what I've been able to gather in looking through the site, the POP does not show this was a convertible. Does the POP match the car?

I would greatly appreciate an expert opinion. Thank you for cataloging all this information - it's a tremendous help!

What you have there is 124378L339016 which is a 1968 Camaro Coupe assembled at the Los Angeles (Van Nuys) plant. It's not an SS though. It's a base LF7 (327/210) with a Powerglide automatic transmission and a 2.73:1 non-posi 10 bolt rear axle. The options that came on the car are power steering, AM push button radio with the rear seat speaker and special purpose suspension.

Here's an easier picture to read but you'd have to post a picture of the VIN tag (and the trim tag) to verify if it goes with the car you're looking at.

Thanks everyone for the help.  The POP definitely does NOT match the car but the cowl and vin tags match. How leery would you be that the VIN and trim tags could have been bought or created? I'm a pessimist by nature.

If it's being represented as an SS, you'll also need to post a picture of the engine pad. But again, post a picture of the VIN and the trim tag, along with pictures of the transmission suffix and rear axle date stamp if you can get to them.
