1968 Z race car
« on: December 12, 2022, 05:47:59 PM »
Just wanted to share this. I Purchased this car vin N444408 this car was ZZ 05E console and tach delete black deluxe saddle. I did not see in data base it came from VA. Culpeper area  i have known this car since 1970.  All original emblems grill sheet metal...that remains ie.  gIove box sticker and muncie hole, front spoiler, bumper gaurds. going to bring back as close as possible. Another  for data base. I rode in car when I was 10 and have a emotional connection. It was why I love them today.

C and C is in Manssass, Virginia—Carole Carters place, but sadly he has passed. The business is still open.

Can you share a photo of the trim tag and vin?  Also any of the engine compartment and interior?  Congrats on the purchase.  If you do not want to share publicly you can email me the photos to the email address below.  Thanks!

Neat car, congrats on the purchase! Must feel great knowing the car for so long! FYI, console and tach (w/gauges) were options, not deleted items. The car was most likely ordered without them.

Thank you, your correct. Had a 67 321 427 in it but still retains 4 leaf springs, with Dana 60 they put in out of hemi barCuda in 1970. Most z parts gone but I know it's real because I have known from day 1its origin.

Awesome find. Sounds a lot like my 68 Z former drag car. I just turned 60 last Saturday, and have owned it since I was 18. Similar story, raced, most Z28 stuff replaced with drag racing parts, Dana 60 in mine as well. Congratulations and looking forward to more post.

Same thing in mine. Power disks removed, six cylinder drums installed. Way less weight without the calipers, rotors and power booster. Mine ran many classes including E/MP, C Super modofied and F/GAS.....
