Instead of making a separate thread for the 1970 Sebring 12 Hour race, I think it is better to just add on to this one because it is the same car.
The same ZL1 aluminum engine powered 1969 bodied Camaro was raced the following year by Don Yenko and Bob Grossman at the Sebring 12 Hours of Endurance for the Alitalia Airlines Trophy. You can tell that it is the same car because it also features the 1967 model passenger door with the vent window. This endurance event was held at Sebring International Raceway on Saturday, March 21, 1970. The Camaro, entered by the Marlbank Racing Team, completed 189 laps for a 3rd place finish in the GT+5.0 class and a 17th overall placement. Instead of the red paintwork of 1969, the Camaro was painted white with a blue hood, fender tops and cowl vent area for the 1970 race. The number of the car was changed to #9, and the extra set of driving lights were placed in a different spot for the 1970 race. These lights were placed in a more outboard location instead of being placed where the turn signals would normally be. Another change was a black painted grill and grill surround as opposed to the silver grill and grill surround featured the previous year. It also has two thin stripes running over the roof and down the trunk lid and spoiler.
