Help Value for Z28 NOM

[GI JOE]

I came across a 69 Z28, NOM, missing most z28 parts in engine area, no docs, early pre- x code car,

condition from owner is about #3 daily driver with no issues... Car is a turn key...  something you wouldn't worry about getting a bug splat on it...

I just don't know what these cars are worth now a days....

Can someone help me ?

It was born a Z, but the Z parts are missing. It’s now a Camaro that was built with other parts. It’s whatever you think it’s worth. Nothing more, nothing less.
What does NOM mean?

Is there anything to substantiate that it is a Z/28?

There should be a “X” code behind the back seat usually on the passenger side of the car.

car is dressed correctly but has later rear spoiler from  photos posted

any suggestions...? I have just a few more  things to check and verify. I'm traveling tomorrow to see it.

I'm like you, can't keep up with the inflated prices over the last few years. Using the Hagerty "valuation tool", they're showing 80-90K for a number 3 (condition), 69Z! Hard to imagine. I'm guessing those would have the original block.

Sounds like you're familiar with what to look for. Check the partial VIN on the trans...and bring on the photos, please.

Yes photos would help. There are quite a few Z only detail items that may still be present. Original factory Hurst with back drive linkage present? If the X3 on the rear bulkhead is original, it is a Z. My Z is also 10B 1968. I have pics of my rear bulkhead X mark. Same week might be similar. Driver's side dual exhaust plate present? VIN range should be 516xxx-521xxx.

Pretty sure that car came out of Maine a few months ago. I had talked with the owner but he had a deposit on it.

Only worth the sum of the parts and quality of work. I never pay too much for cars through my network. I own a shop. I passed on a 69Z project two years ago because the shop threw out the hidden VINs. Original drivetrain gone. Not original drivetrain means it is just another Camaro. Build those cars like you want to. No docs no value.

Get the car appraised by a pro. Without docs, that may be the only way possible to find out if it started out as a Z/28. It may only be worth the sum of its parts, but the base would be worth more if it truly is a Z. That's better than being a clone.

UPDATE

I passed on the car.  I had a 3.5 hour drive to see it and I didn't have my wife's blessing....

The car did come out of Maine... and it sold $45000.00 in less than a day.
